In a new cover interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 23-year-old said that every casual date ends up online, and that it "feels really invasive." She pushed back on the idea that it comes with the job: "It actually really sucks... It feels like you're being stalked and then judged for pictures. Like I said, I'm single, I don't have a boyfriend, and to be stalked outside of your home and then these pictures are being used as evidence that you're a bad person, it's just the craziest thing."

THR notes that photos of Rodrigo on a few dates with a New York private equity associate sparked stories about "dating finance bros" and backlash online, even though, as she confirms, he was never her boyfriend. "I know who I am, and I know what my values are," she said. "I wish that I could be 23 years old and experience life normally."

In the same interview she also said she will never use AI in her music and that she would love to go back to school one day.
