Paramount and Warner Bros. officially merge into Skydance in a $111 billion deal
Paramount and Warner Bros. have officially combined into one company, Skydance, in a $111 billion deal led by CEO David Ellison.

The deal survived lawsuits from the Writers Guild of America and 12 state attorneys general, plus regulatory review in the U.S. and Europe.
Skydance now controls Paramount+, HBO Max, CNN, CBS News, MTV, Comedy Central and a library of about 15,000 films, including Harry Potter, DC, Mission: Impossible and Top Gun.
Former Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz is co-CEO. Under the state settlement, the studios will release 30 films a year for the next few years.
